do you like students? do you like identical twins? do you like awesome drama that will make you go 'aaaah!' then look no further!
the avery family has already had itself a fair bit of drama. over a year ago, the summer before blake was to go into seventh year and the twins into fifth, their father snapped. see, their family is a blood purist family. always has been and should always be. the siblings' grandfather was a death eater thrown in azkaban after the battle at hogwarts, their great-grandfather another death eater during voldemort's first reign. pure-blood supremacy is as natural to these guys as breathing, and so is hatred of harry potter, blood traitors, and everything that even slightly interferes with an ideal pureblood world. their father, apollo, couldn't take the 'injustice' of the wizarding world anymore. harry potter was called a hero while his father and grandfather were locked up in azkaban and the world supported him!? the avery's father went to a muggle town and attacked a family there, leaving all members of the family critically injured, crippling one young girl of eleven beyond even magical fixes. it didn't take long for the magical authorities to track down apollo, promptly arresting him and, after a quick trial, sending him off to azkaban for life.
so, that's their backstory. now for the more definite purpose of this ad and the future drama...
since their dad went to azkaban blake has stepped it up in the family. he's always been close with his little sisters, but he became more protective and their father's absence just seemed to draw them closer together. blake would often look out for them at the school (not that they needed too much help because they had each other and were quite typical cunning slytherins) and just be an all around good big brother. but to other people... well, he wasn't so nice. blake was actually an ass. to slytherins and purebloods he was great, but to others... well, he's a big guy, and physical force was one of his favourite things, if you know what i mean. yeah, not pleasant... but he was also cunning, and so knew how to keep a respectable appearance to staff and just intimidate his victims to keep their (often literally) bloody mouths shut.
now, blake had a game he liked to play while at hogwarts... see, the school is ripe for the picking with insecure 'young ladies'. blake would go after these girls, always at least half-blood, and charm them, court them, until he got what he wanted from them (if you know what i mean) at which time he would break their hearts and walk away all the happier. it was a game to him, and as he never targeted any 'good' witches there were no moral issues from an avery standpoint. this all went great until last year, when he targeted a young hufflepuff by the name of alarica amethyst (a character in the making by clips). alarica was a pureblood and it didn't take long for blake to begin his games with her. however, something was different this time around... he was getting attached to her, something that had never happened with any of his previous targets before. after a while the two began dating- she was pureblood and so there was no issue, right?
wrong.
turned out that alarica was adopted by her family and was, in fact, a muggleborn. when he found this out blake immediately left her, abandoning her when she needed him the most, and carried on with his life. he graduated hogwarts, became a hit wizard trainee (by pulling a few strings where his grades might be a bit lacking by family connections), and got his own place. so that's the story as it stands. while his sisters begin their sixth year at hogwarts he's starting his own life.
at least, that's the story. but the story that his family knows and the truth are two different situations. upon leaving alarica, blake found himself miserable. and so, one day towards the end of the school year, he confronted her, apologizing for being an ass, calling her a mudblood, trying to use her, etc. the list went on and on. later in the summer he saw alarica again, for a short time, and spoke to her once more with a similar train of topics. nothing too much came of those meetings, but the effect they had on blake is everlasting. his opinions in his family and their ideas are changing and though he hasn't seen alarica since early august, he wants to. he misses her, and has come to realize that he still cares for her.
now here's where the fun comes in... blake and alarica are finals. the details have yet to be ironed out, but the last pureblood avery male, the last avery who can carry on the family name and blood status, is getting married to a mudblood. obviously a few years down the line as alarica is no older than his sisters, but it will happen. and he knows that shit will hit the fan when his family finds out. they know alarica's a mudblood, he told them himself, and they believe that that knowledge spurred him to abandon her as he rightly should have. when everything comes unravelled he's going to get disowned, lose his money (as their family is rich and so he doesn't really need to work to get anything he wants), apartment, job, and family. what's going to come as the biggest shock to him is that his sisters are going to turn their backs on him. he'll be a blood traitor, and worse than scum to them even as their own brother. plenty of drama shall ensue there.
so, details on the sisters? well, i explained their relationship with blake, both present and future, above. as for each other, they're extremely close. they're identical and so were the sort of twins who would switch places to pull pranks and confuse the hell out of everyone. all children in their family have the initials of b.k.a, so their first names must begin with a b and middle names must begin with a k. these girls have to be extremely blood purist. no 'well, maybe mudbloods and blood traitors aren't so bad...' in their futures. they have generations worth of conditioning convincing them that they're the top of the world because of their blood status, and it's not going to change. each belong in slytherin because, well, they're bitchy and conniving. what one might immediately think of when thinking of slytherin, really. as for playby... i would love liz gillies, please and thanks. if you have another idea feel free to pm me with it, but no promises that it'll be okay with me... i've kinda got my heart set on liz. as for the roleplayers... i just ask that you can give good quality posts. i can reach to 1000 words a post, if you can reach around at least 500 with quality, not just regurgitating what i say/disjointed sentences and grammar that makes me tear my hair out, that would be fantastic. i never complain of rambling. xD and please be active! there is nothing more frustrating than having a character taken and then having the rper disappear without a word.
oh yes, and take them and i will bake you cookies.
thanks!
