[/i] hit anyone because he know's it's wrong but that doesn't mean that sometimes other's don't get under his skin. They do and while he tries to normally let it just roll on by without any sort of fight that doesn't mean he always succeeded.

In diagon alley once he ended up in a fight when a boy was picking on his younger sister, his father gave him a stern talking-to for it and that talk isn't something he'll ever forget because he never wants to disappoint his dad like that again. He's close to his older brother and they can get along though they're pretty competitive with each other and friendly games of back-yard one on one quidditch turn into serious ordeals when they get too wrapped up in winning. His younger sister was always someone he felt protective over though she'd only a year behind him in age. He's always stood as a shield against anyone who would ever so much as look at her wrong.

Watching his brother go off to Hogwarts Daniel was jealous and wanted to go early though it wasn't possible and when he got his letter he was so excited to finally be going to the school his dad taught at and where his dad had gone to school himself. He was proud to be placed into Gryffindor when the hat sorted him and thought of himself as following in his father's footsteps. He was always a boy who was interested in helping people and that developed into wanting to become a healer as he got older. His summers were spent volunteering at St. Mungo's as soon as he was old enough and he keeps an eye on the Medi-Witches and Medi-Wizards when there because he has plans of becoming one some day himself.

In school he showed his smarts, proving able to learn even though he's not that strong at some things like transfiguration and the creatures he comes across in care of magical creatures tend to like trying to make him into a tasty snack instead of letting him easily handle them. He works hard to keep his grades up but never passes on an opportunity to have some fun with his fellow housemates when something's going on in the tower. He's a little bit of a party-boy who's known for being a bit of a flirt as well which to anyone who knew his father seems a little baffling. He doesn't get any sort of special treatment from his father in herbology, actually getting picked on a bit more for harder tasks because his dad feels he should know more thanks to summer sessions learning about different plants.

He hasn't ever had a real steady relationship where he dated a girl for a longer time than about two weeks, he's never found someone he connected with enough to try making it last and he didn't know what to make of it when girls got so angry at him for that. He has only gotten in trouble for a few fights at school, other fights being unknown to the teachers therefore not punished. Mostly he enjoys his classes but he enjoys the chance to browse through books in the library where he can learn even more about healing. He tried out for the quidditch team and played for one year with them but the next year he asked to be taken back off the team because his heart wasn't in it fully and he felt that someone who would put their heart into it deserved the chance to play instead of someone who didn't feel the drive so strongly.

He is known to be a little bit of a prankster in the Hogwarts halls along with his friends though no one has ever caught them or snitched on them for it. He's proud of his sneakier talents and can be seem sometimes in the common room working out a prank or two when his homework's all done and he just wants to have a laugh though he's very careful to keep his pranks harmless and funny for everyone including the person being pranked unless it's a revenge prank in which case he and the boys call it as a free-for all.

Most of the school knows better than to mess with his younger sister unless they want to face him head on as well. He knows she probably sometimes hates him for his over-protectiveness and the fact that he once punched a boy in his own year who asked her out since he knew the boy was only going to hurt her. You could say Danny's settled into the school and while he's a face in the crowd to those who know him he stands out and he likes his life that way. He doesn't go out of his way to be flashy or important because he's happy with the friends and life he has there.
